High school students now have the opportunity for dual acceptance into Â鶹´«Ã½ and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).

Dual Acceptance Programs

Dual Acceptance Admission Requirements for the High School Student:

  • ACT score greater than or equal to 26 or SAT greater than or equal to 1240
  • High school GPA greater than or equal to 3.5

Note: High School Students must apply by December of their senior year. An on-site interview will be completed in Spring. Upon enrollment at Â鶹´«Ã½, your provisional acceptance to LECOM will be offered. To qualify for your secured seat, you must maintain a 3.5 GPA while at Lewis, and successfully earn the required score on your respective program's examination:

  • 19 DAT (Dental Admission Test)

Pre-Medicine – Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)

  • 4 + 4 Track
  • LECOM Program Location Options: Erie, Pennsylvania; Greensburg, Pennsylvania; Bradenton, Florida

Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine practice a unique and quickly-growing form of medical care in the United States, emphasizing comprehensive and preventative wellness with a focus on health education, injury and disease.

Lewis offers high school seniors a unique dual admittance opportunity to simultaneously enroll in both undergraduate studies at Lewis and . While the admittance pool for medical school is fiercely competitive, enrollment in this 4 + 4 program secures your seat in med school as a high school senior.

Pre-Pharmacy – Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

  • 4 + 3 and 4 + 4 Tracks
  • LECOM Program Location: Bradenton, Florida (4 + 4 Track)
  • LECOM Program Location: Erie, Pennsylvania (4 + 3 Track)

The Doctor of Pharmacy program emphasizes outcomes-based decision making, integrating basic sciences, pharmacy practice and hands-on professional experiences in preparation for a successful career as a pharmacist.

With the 4 + 4 program, you will have a complete undergraduate experience at Â鶹´«Ã½, earning your Biology degree before moving on to your secured seat in .

With the 4 + 3 program, you will have the same complete undergraduate experience at Â鶹´«Ã½ before entering a year-round three-year curriculum in Erie, Pennsylvania, enabling you to earn your degree and enter the pharmacy profession one year earlier. Both programs offer the same coursework, credit hours and pharmacy practice experience.

Pre-Dentistry – Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.)

  • 4 + 4 Track
  • LECOM Program Location: Bradenton, Florida

With this 4 + 4 program, you will have a complete undergraduate experience at Â鶹´«Ã½, earning your Biology degree before moving on to your secured seat in .
